I have been teaching at Long Elementary for 25 years. I earned a Bachelor' Degree in elementary education from Troy University and obtained my Master's Degree from Alabama State University. During my teaching career I have spent most of my years teaching third grade. In 2020, I moved to 5th grade where I am currently teaching reading. I am married to my best friend, Yancy Shaver, and we have 3 beautiful children. Bailey is 22 , Maddie is 20 and Joley is 16. When I am away from school, I spend most of my time at the lake with my family.
