At Home Education Plan for Dale County Schools

Ø Grades K through 6 teachers will identify the “Critical Standards” not yet taught this school year
Ø Grades 7-11 teachers will identify the “Critical Standards” not yet taught in their subject
Ø Grade 12 teachers/counselors will identify seniors that “are not on track to graduate” – identify the course work needed and identify the essential standards needed to finish before May 22
Ø Grade 12 students that are “on track to graduate and in good standing” at the end of the 3rd nine weeks are considered – “as meeting the graduation requirements” for the State of Alabama
Ø Teachers will contact students the week of March 30 – April 3. The teacher will ask the question, “How would you prefer to receive your Educational Learning Packet?” The options will be: pick up at school between 9am and 2pm on the following Mondays (April 6, April 20, May 4) or have it scanned and emailed to you on the following Mondays (April 6, April 20, May 4) or have it delivered to you by school bus (must live on a bus route) between 9am and 11am on the following Mondays (April 6, April 20, May 4)
Ø Teachers will contact students/parents each week by phone, email, or messenger. The conversation will include questions about materials in the packet, instructions for completion, the health of family members, and answers to any curriculum questions.
